About

Welcome to Amy Eats and Other Adventures !

… in which Amy (me) cooks, eats, doesn’t eat, runs, frets, and documents the whole thing in all-singing, all-dancing, technicolour prose.

Aside from the list above I also enjoy playing the cello, singing, writing and drawing. I study music and live in Brighton.

I’ve struggled with eating, weight and exercise for a few years now. I intend to use this blog to chart the day-to-day ups and downs of living with psychological food and image issues. This website does not in any way condone eating disorders, but if you have one, you have one, so expect to find helpful advice, support and my take on the whole experience in the form of food diaries, tips on healthy eating and healthy weight maintenance on a budget, recipes, pictures, rants and other such trivial pursuits that may or may not give you a little food for thought (excuse the pun…)

  1. Loving the blog, keep it up. I’m a viola player, food blogger and recent graduate. I did so much music when I was at uni- can’t wait to go back to do post-grad. My girlfriend’s brother is currently studying at Brighton.

  2. Hey there, just found your blog and read a few of your posts. I like your stuff! And congrats on the marathon – something I would love to do someday, despite the fact that I havent run in years. Also looking forward to seeing how your vegan month goes. Good luck!

    • Thank you ever so much for the visit. I would truly recommend getting back into running, it is genuinely so much fun, although you probably know that already ! And yes, the vegan month will hopefully be well-documented, it’s going to be a fun cooking challenge 🙂 x
